Local Mode
Some workplace browser-security systems isolate websites from local windows. Local Mode runs I Was Listening directly on this computer, with the same browser sharing permission. Use it only where your organization permits local applications and screen sharing.
- Download the single HTML file below.
- Open it in desktop Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- Use Start taking notes and choose your meeting window normally.
No server, installer, or extraction is needed for the HTML version. OCR and fonts are included and work offline. Notes stay in the local browser page and disappear on refresh or close. Google lookup asks before sending selected text. Local Mode does not override browser or workplace restrictions. If your organization blocks file downloads, use an approved internal distribution method or contact your IT team.
